Time’s Dark Maze

Memories, yet to arise
From time’s nomadic pool
Swirl, adrift, disguised,
Awaiting destiny’s pull.

But all that I remember
Of that summer’s epic pall
Seems lit up like an ember
From a future yet to fall.

So the Now is now unsure
If forward is the past
Where our love shall be obscure
Or shall live unstrung at last.

Thus lost in Time’s dark maze,
Lit by a truth so faint,
It faintly shimmers as it sways
To love’s pensive soft restraint.

A refrain of Now and Then
Whispers ‘they are the same’
And knows our Time is When
The Cosmos ends its game.

  1. It felt like being in paradise to walk in your gardens of Rome after reading your poems which reminded me of the poems of Swinburne , his Felice, above all. Or of Keats, a thing of beauty is a joy forever…You made me proud when you visited my blog.
